Perform a complete data and software backup
before installing the V5 software setup.

Close OS3DE

Locate the OS3DE folder.

A standard installation will have the folder installed at C:\TSI\OS3DE

Copy and paste the OS3DE folder to a secure location, such as an external hard drive or a USB flash drive

You now have a valid backup. The OS3DE folder contains your most recent project data and your current software version

Close OS3DE prior to installing an update

OS3DE cannot update if it is still open and running; if left open, this will require a computer restart.

If restarting while OS3DE is still open and running, the license cannot be returned to the license server will show as In Use

Download, save Setup_OS3DE.exe

Read the corresponding installation instructions for your needed process provided below before for proper installation
